Morning Program For 6 to 8 Year Olds

Here’s an exciting opportunity for 6 to 8 year old campers!

NCC is pleased to offer a stimulating entry level program. Developed at the MIT Media Lab, Scratch Programming introduces youngsters to the world of programming in an intuitive and fun way. Scratch programming stimulates creativity and offers the young programmer a rewarding experience that promotes self esteem. Scratch is easy to learn and lets youngsters program their own interactive stories, games and animations. Another great feature of Scratch is that campers can see the programming code working in action, allowing them to better understand what is going on when their programs are running. Scratch also serves as an excellent introduction to video game design, a very popular program at NCC.

The morning camp is held Monday to Friday from 8:45am to 11:30 am and is available only to 6 to 8 year olds. Campers may sign up for any one or more weeks from July. The Scratch curriculum is continuous and campers who attend more than one week do not repeat what they already learned. Each week beginner, intermediate and advanced Scratch is offered.

NCC provides each camper with his/her “own” computer. The camper to counselor ratio is only 3:1. The tuition is $350.00 per week minus $50 per week scholarship.

The daily schedule is:
